Will you?

Back in the day we used to think that Wills were for very old people who knew that they were about to die and hurried to make arrangements as to who would get what. Even now some people opt out of making a Will. The best reasons I’ve heard? “I have plenty life left in me” or “my family know who getting what already or when ah dead ah dead….let dem fight up”. Some people even deem making a Will an omen that will bring them certain death, but isn’t death the one thing that is certain about life? I don’t mean to conjure up images of the Grim Reaper in your mind, but, if you really stop to think about how unpredictable life is, you’d appreciate how important it is to plan ahead. Making a Will is a relatively straightforward process as long as you: are 21 years or older, know who you want to leave in charge of carrying out your wishes, know what you own, know who you wish to leave your assets to and you
have documents showing what and where these assets are. Now that you know what’s involved, the question is, your Will…. Will you?
